Why to eat more peaches?
The peaches are not just a sweet juicy fruit that we love eating in summer. They are also a source of many beneficial substances.
It is not without a good reason that in China the peach is considered a divine fruit. It contains valuable organic acids - malic, tartaric and citric, as well as several minerals - potassium, iron, phosphorus, manganese, copper, zinc, selenium and magnesium.
It is rich in vitamin C and vitamins of the B group as well as folic acid, vitamin E, vitamin K and essential oils.
It is recommended to eat peaches if you suffer from constipation or acid dyspepsia. They activate the release of gastric juice, help digestion and improve the function of the gut.
They contribute to the release of noxious substances and cleanse the digestive tract.
Due to the high content of potassium in them, the peaches are recommended to people with heart arrhythmia. And their iron content makes them very useful to those with anaemia.
Eating peaches can improve our mood as well. Due to the magnesium they contain, the peaches enhance the feeling of happiness, contribute to our emotional balance and even function as an aphrodisiac.
How to consume and store peaches
It is better to eat them when they are ripe or slightly soft. If they are hard and green, leave them at room temperature until they become a bit softer and red.
Many of the valuable substances in them can be found even in preserves.
