Coconut – the heavenly food
Coconut products (nut meat, coconut oil, coconut cream) have many beneficial properties:
- Improve the use of blood sugar and help improve the symptoms of hypoglycemia; • Improve digestion and absorption of fat-soluble vitamins and amino acids, speed up metabolism;
- Help in the natural fight against the excessive growth of bacteria, viruses and fungi (except herpes), due to their content of antifungal and antimicrobial saturated fatty acids;
- Improve the absorption of calcium, potassium and magnesium;
- Contain antioxidants;
- Help in the more effective use of essential fatty acids (omega-3, omega-6);
- Help in the balance and healthy production of hormones, etc.
Coconut oil is a saturated fat, composed mainly of medium-chain fatty acids (MCFA). Coconut "delivers" more and faster energy than many other sources. It is recommended for people who suffer from poor digestion, especially problems with the liver and gallbladder. Coconut oil, by itself, does not contain cholesterol, but helps to normalize its level in the body. When we regularly add coconut products to our diet, cholesterol levels are normalized and their transformation into pregnenolone ("raw material" and precursor for the synthesis of a number of hormones) is stimulated. Pregnenolone stimulates memory, protects against stress, fights fatigue, and is also the reason why coconut products have beautifying properties - it has a beneficial effect on the skin and reduces bags under the eyes. Last but not least, coconut products improve thyroid function, increase metabolism and normalize blood sugar levels.
